on netplay, it starts up on a black screen and stays frozen on that black screen. Please show screenshots of the Controllers dialog and of the assigned Wii remote slots in the NetPlay 'lobby'.
Edit: It seems Gecko might be running with black screen. If you want to play netplay, you will have to remove the memory. However, my old offline-use version is still not working (Gecko + SD-card over SSBB ISO). If you want to add a memory card, in the top bar, go to Config->GameCube then under 'Device Settings' you can add a memory card in slot A. This will let you use an SD card like on a real Wii.
The SD card is by default stored in C:UsersThe fact that there is no memory card is needed for playing netplay. To use an SD card, enable Config > Wii > Insert SD Card. My suspicion is that something old is laying around, I did mess around a bit with the memory card manager ages ago to set it up to work properly when I wanted to save in another game, but i have since deleted and reinstalled dolphin and emptied the documents/Dolphin Emulator folder where the save files were. All of this is quite normal to appear when starting dolphin, actually. He can also play it in perfect quality if its not in Netplay. If i go to memory card manager I see nothing and I cant really do anything here. Ive had my friend host it, and the same thing occurs. Now, I have disabled memory cards in the gamecube configs, and also deleted whatever savefile I had before and he sent me his files instead.
So, I would like to play smash bros melee with the 20xx "mod" with my friend via netplay (the issue is not only present in netplay though, but it makes us desync) and when the game starts up he goes straight to the character select, which I should also do, but my game wants to use a memory card apparently, and I get a message with "No memory card in slot A" or something along those lines. Hello! I'm new here and I apologize if my formatting is horrible.Īnyway, I have searched around for quite a long time for a solution to this but found none.
